HONDA Crosstourer Special Edition (2012-2013) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Honda Crosstourer was an adventure motorcycle, also called the VFR1200X, introduced by Honda in 2011 at the EICMA Motorcycle Show in Milan, Italy. The bike was released in 2012 with a re-tuned version of the engine used on the VFR1200F machine.

In 2012, Honda announced the expansion of the V4 lineup by introducing the 2013 Honda Crosstourer Special Edition, which offered all the fun and excitement of a sports tourer. The bike delivered an upright seating position with the maneuverability of an adventure motorcycle topped by a Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) with more excellent functionalities.

The Honda Crosstourer motorcycle combined sports performance with touring features, such as the V4 engine configuration and amenities found on off-road machines, such as a long travel suspension and an upright riding position.

The bike came from the factory equipped with an adjustable windscreen, a one-piece dual seat, optional panniers, and a trunk. Also, the 2013 machine came in five color schemes: Special Edition livery, Digital Silver Metallic, Pearl Sunbeam White, Pearl Cosmic Black, and Candy Prominence Red.

The 2013 Honda Crosstourer Special Edition had a twin-spar diamond-shaped aluminum frame with a 43 mm inverted telescopic fork handling the front suspension, while the rear end was taken care of by a Pro-link gast-charged adjustable shock absorber.

For power, the Crosstourer had at its core a 1,237cc four-stroke V4 liquid-cooled engine with a Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) system, boasting 127 hp at 7,750 rpm and 126 Nm (93 lb-ft) torque with maximum peak at 6,500 rpm.
