DUCATI SUPERSPORT S (2017-Present) Specs, Performance & Photos

The SuperSport is a series of air-cooled motorcycles made by Ducati since the late 1980s. Ducati used the base of the 750 Sport and 750 GT models for the official SuperSport motorcycles, which featured the bodywork style used by the Imola bikes.

In 2016 at the Intermot, Ducati announced the new SuperSport motorcycle that would be available in the spring of 2017, and available in two versions, SuperSport and SuperSport S.

Unlike the standard version, the SuperSport S features a digital quick-shifter and a fully adjustable Ohlins suspension at the front and rear. The optional Sport Pack features a carbon fiber front fender, carbon fiber tank cover, and bespoke brake reservoir covers, and the Touring Pack has semi-rigid panniers, a touring windscreen, and heated grips.

The SuperSport S has the heartbeat set by the 937cc L-Twin Desmodromic liquid-cooled engine that generates a power of 113 hp at 9,000 rpm and 96 Nm (71 lb-ft) of torque at 6,500 rpm and a six-speed gearbox.

Like the standard model, the S uses a tubular trellis frame attached to the cylinder head and has a dry weight of 184 kg (406 lbs).

The suspension is handled by a fully adjustable 48mm USD Ohlins fork on the front, progressive linkage with a fully adjustable Ohlins monoshock on the rear, and an aluminum single-sided swingarm.

The Y-shaped three-spoke light alloy wheels use a pair of Pirelli Diablo Rosso tires, and for braking purposes, the S uses two 320 mm discs on the front and a 245 mm disc on the rear.
