DUCATI Streetfighter S (2009-2010) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Ducati Streetfighter was designed by Damien Basset of the Ducati design team. The Streetfighter means to be a converted superbike without fairings, a longer wheelbase, and a powerful and aggressive appearance. The drive for the Streetfighter was taken over from the discontinued top model of the brand, the Ducati 1908.

In 2010, Ducati brought to the market the Streetfighter S with some extra fittings, such as an Ohlins suspension package, forged aluminum Marchesini wheels, a carbon fiber front fender, and cam belt covers, but also technologies such as Ducati Traction Control (DTC) and Ducati Data Analyzer (DDA).

The Streetfighter S has its heartbeat set by the 1099cc L-Twin Desmodromic liquid-cooled engine tightened to a six-speed gearbox and producing a power of 148 hp at 9,500 rpm and 109 Nm (80 lb-ft) of torque at 9,500 rpm.

The model uses the same tubular steel trellis frame in ALS 450 as its predecessor. The suspension used by the model is a 43 mm Ohlins fully adjustable upside-down fork on the front and an Ohlins fully adjustable monoshock with progressive linkage on the rear.

The 2010 Ducati Streetfighter S braking power is provided by two Brembo 330 mm discs on the front and a 245 mm disc at the rear.

The wheels of the model are made of forged aluminum in a 5-spoke design and fitted with Pirelli Diablo Corsa 3 tires.
