The Ducati Multistrada was a series of V-twin and V4-powered touring-oriented motorcycles first introduced in 2003. The Multistrada was designed by Pierre Terblanche and was a machine that competed in the market with other dual-sports motorcycles, including the BMW GS.

The first Multistrada machine was the 2003 Ducati Multistrada 1100DS, 2006 brought two basic models, the 1100DS and Multistrada 620, alongside the 620 Dark entry-level model, and in 2007, there was the Multistrada 1100 and 1100 DS.

In 2005, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Ducati Multistrada 620, an entry-level motorcycle with several components, including a double-sided Monster-style swingarm, integrated die-cast front and rear footpegs, and three-spoke alloy wheels.

In the appearance department, the 2005 Ducati Multistrada 620 was identical to its larger 1100DS brother, with the only significant difference being the engine. It packed the same half fairing, adjustable windscreen, two-piece dual seat, and an under-seat-mounted dual exhaust system.

In the performance department, the 2005 Ducati Multistrada 620 had its soul brought to life by a 618cc four-stroke air-cooled V-twin engine, boasting 61 hp with a peak force at 8,750 rpm and 54 Nm (40 lb-ft) torque at 6,500 rpm.

The bike's power was handled by a six-speed manual transmission with a final chain drive that pushed the bike to a top speed of 193 kph (120 mph).
