The Ducati Multistrada 1200 was a half-naked machine manufactured by Ducati since 2010. The bike was powered by a detuned version of the Testastretta engine used on the Ducati 1198.

Compared to the 2009 Ducati 1100 models, the 1200 version was redesigned entirely, packing a new engine and bodywork with a modern look. It also packed more advanced electronics, such as four riding modes and Ducati Electronic Suspension (DES).

In the appearance department, the bike was fitted with standard features, such as a redesigned front fairing with a dual headlight design and a tall windscreen, a redesigned two-piece double seat with a passenger grab handle, a new exhaust system, and 10-spoke alloy wheels.

The bike's suspension comprised a 50 mm fully adjustable upside-down Marzocchi fork on the front and a fully adjustable Sachs shock absorber with progressive linkage on the rear, delivering excellent handling capabilities.

As for braking, the bike packed two 320 mm discs with four-piston Brembo calipers on the front wheel and a 245 mm disc with a dual-piston caliper on the rear wheel, offering excellent stopping power.

The 2011 Ducati Multistrada 1200 had at its core a 1,198cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-twin engine fed by an electronically controlled fuel injection system, boasting 150 hp with maximum strength at 9,250 rpm and 119 Nm (88 lb-ft) torque at 7,500 rpm.
