Engineer Fabio Taglioni was brought to Ducati in 1954 to design a small, high-performance engine. The result is presented on March 5, 1955, is a beautiful 98 cm3 (49 x 52 mm) which will be quickly updated to 125cc and then to 175cc. This engine is extremely well-designed and will launch Ducati's sporting careers. Marianna is equipped with a four-cylinder air-cooled engine.
