The BMW S 1000 RR was a race-oriented sport bike presented in 2008 in Munich and designed to compete in the 2009 Superbike World Championship. The model got its power from a 999cc four-cylinder engine with a redline at 14,200 rpm. In 2009, BMW made 1,000 units of the S 1000 RR to satisfy the World Superbike homologation requirements, and in 2010 BMW expanded the production of commercial sale of the bike.

The 2010 BMW S 1000 RR was the most powerful production motorcycle ever built by the House of Munich. The 2010 model, unlike its predecessor, had been revised with an even greater riding precision, increased performance, a more sensitive response, and improved handling and stability.

The bike was taking its power from the 999cc in-line four-cylinder liquid-cooled engine bolted to a six-speed manual transmission that delivers 193 hp at 13,000 rpm and 113 Nm (83 lb-ft) of torque at 9,750 rpm.

The suspension of the model had been revised and was a plus in riding dynamics with a new internal structure of the fork, providing a vaster range of damping forces from comfort to performance.

The 2010 BMW S 1000 RR, at the time of its release, was equipped with the most advanced braking system on the market, BMW Motorrad Race ABS.

The 2010 S 1000 RR was for sale in 2022, starting from $12,000.
