The 1997 MY Bimota 500 V-Due is the first and only Bimota machine that comes with an engine designed in-house, a liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, two-stroke, 499cc, V-Twin powerhouse paired to a six-speed manual transmission, capable of producing 105 horsepower and 90 Nm of torque.

This machine was unfortunately taken out of production due to the fact that it's fuel injection system was unable to deliver a smooth and reliable power output, the Italian brand ceasing production after only 340 units, out of the 500 proposed. It also boasted standard features such as a carbon-fiber bodywork, a fully-adjustable 46mm Paioli fork and an Ohlins rear mono-shock.
