Good news for both Alstare and Bimota, as a 5-year deal was inked, and the goals of this long-term collaboration are really nifty, to say the least.
Alstare and Bimota are planning a WSBK entry in the EVO class and one for Moto2, with the FIM analyzing that all the prerequisites are met. Alstare has been looking for a new bike maker after the Ducati deal went down in flames, and Bimota might prove to be a very good choice, as they come with decent racing heritage to make a comeback on the track.

Under Swiss ownership now, Bimota will also benefit from Alstare's extensive racing expertise, and this will obviously be a good deal of help for creating better road bikes to kickstart a new era in Bimota's history.

The new EVO team has secured Ayrton Badovini and Christian Iddon, and ParkinGO might become one of the sponsors, rumor has it.

Good to see Bimota back to WSBK, just like Erik Buell Racing making its debut in the world series, and we're looking forward to see how will these two iconic makers fare.
