The 2012 MY Beta 520RS has the biggest displacement in the RS family, and is the most powerful. Sporting a four-stroke, liquid-cooled, 497cc, single-cylinder engine paired to a sturdy six-speed manual transmission, the 520RS has all it needs to tackle both the urban streets and the muddy trails in the wilderness.

In this model, Beta increased the oil volume to the engine cam chain, reducing friction, and also made it easier to change the oil, thanks to a new oil drain plug. It features the BYOB (Build Your Own Beta) program, which allows one to choose from a wide variety of different accessories and settings. The BYOB version also comes with a nameplate of whom the bike was built for.
