The 2012 MY Beta 498RR sports a 497cc, four-stroke, liquid-cooled engine with a redesigned cylinder head for improved noise reduction. The six-speed transmission has a new primary gear for stronger take-offs, and new springs for a more progressive clutch action and gear engagement.

A high-performance Sachs 48mm new fork with TFX technology was designed especially for Beta, and it allows the bike to ride harder on rough terrain, offering better damping and a smoother feel. New front and rear brake rotors improve the rider's control over the two-wheeler and also add a plus to safety.
