BENELLI 254 Quattro (1981-1981) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Benelli 254 Quattro was a quarter-liter middle-class machine manufactured by Benelli in 1981. It was manufactured for only one year and was created for all kinds of riders with different ages and experience levels.

The 1981 Benelli 254 Quattro had installed at its core a 231cc four-stroke four-cylinder air-cooled engine that delivered an output power of 27 hp with maximum peak at 10,500 rpm and 19 Nm (14 lb-ft) torque at 9,000 rpm. The engine was managed by four Dell'Orto PHBG 18 B carburetors.

The engine was coupled to a five-speed gearbox controlled by a manual clutch that sent the power generated by the engine to the rear wheel via a final chain drive, pushing the motorcycle to a top speed of 150 kph (93 mph).

The bike was manufactured around a single-cradle steel frame with a 30 mm hydraulic telescopic fork mounted on the front and a dual-sided swingarm with side-mounted hydraulic shock absorbers on the rear, providing optimum handling.

As for the braking power, the motorcycle's wheels were fitted with a single 260 mm brake disc on the front and a 158 mm drum braking unit on the rear, offering optimum stopping performance.

In the visual department, the motorcycle was fitted with standard fittings, like a large front cowl with a round headlight and a small windscreen, a one-piece, two-up seat, a four-into-two exhaust system with a muffler on each side, and 12-spoke aluminum alloy rims.
