The world of luxury yachts is soon to be taken by storm (no pun intended) with the arrival of a new player. Mercedes-Benz's Silver Arrow Marine (SAM) will launch their first product at the Monaco Yacht Show, on 25 September.
Named the “Silver Arrow of the Seas”, the 14-meter (46 foot) long “Gran Turismo” has just been presented still in concept form at the luxury Porto Montenegro marina, where the final product will also have its home port.
Part of the Mercedes-Benz Style brand expansion for the Stuttgart car manufacturer, the yacht will join the Eurocopter EC145 and an array of furniture, leather goods, luggage and spectacles, all finished with the with three-pointed-star design touch.
Since the “Silver Arrow of the Seas” hasn't even been built yet, there is no information regarding its starting price so far, but we can only guess it will be a bit more expensive than an inflatable beach boat. Then again, this is the kind of product that if you have to ask how much it costs, you may not be part of its target market.
The on board comfort and amenities will, obviously, be a little more than spectacular, especially if looking with an open mind at the design-study photos in the gallery below.
