The upcoming fourth generation of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, whose interior was leaked earlier, is shaping up to be an even more impressive technological tour de force in its segment than the S-Class W222 was at its introduction earlier this year.
Never before has a new generation of the C-Class jumped segments so radically in terms of features compared to the previous model.
After years on end Mercedes-Benz engineers have been against putting head-up display technology into their cars, saying that a HUD system would be a potential distraction and therefore unsafe for the driver, they recently changed their mind.
As you can see in the adjacent leaked photo, the upcoming W205 generation of the smallest rear-wheel driven sedan in the German manufacturer's range will rectify the “lack of HUD problem”, along with adding an array of features taken straight from the S-Class W222.
For the first time in history, special models in the C-Class lineup will sport Airmatic suspension, which would make it the only model in its segment with such a technology.
On top of it, the V6 versions will also get the new 9 G-Tronic hyper-efficient transmission, with the 7 G-Tronic being left only for the “lesser” automatic models in the range.
