Daniel loves writing, or so he claims. and he once loved to use his 10-words-per-minute typing skills to bring you a "behind the scenes" look at the automotive industry, rather than keeping you up to speed with new vehicles and their performances.

Following several years off the grid, Daniel is back at autoevolution, and seeing how the great crisis of the past decade made the auto industry boring, he grew bored with it too, so he slowly shifted his focus to custom cars, custom motorcycles, and other weird stuff. He also loves ranting about space exploration and robots, because in his view the only way forward for humanity is away from this planet, in metal bodies.

During his time at autoevolution, Daniel put his name on more news articles, coverstories, auto guides, reviews, and editorials than we care count. To slow him down a bit, he was given more responsibilities not long ago, so he is now also in charge with coordinating the editorial team on autevolution.com.

Long time ago, Daniel also translated Arthur C. Clarke’s novel “The Fountains of Paradise” to Romanian for Paladin Publishing.

Kaiju F-35 Lightning Emerges From the Mist, Ready to Find Jaegers

To me, some of the most jaw-dropping movies ever made are the two Pacific Rims. Largely underappreciated by movie fans around the world, they remain to me visual fiestas, with crazy ideas knitted together in a story that, despite its outlandishness...

Pre-Production 2013 Shelby GT500 Escaped an Obvious Death Sentence, Mystery Surrounds It

Try as they might, carmakers have no way of knowing what models will end up becoming collectibles, or turning points in the history of the industry, or milestones of some kind. If they knew, they’d probably keep hold of pretty much everything...

1987 Volkswagen Vanagon Syncro Is Ready to Take You Camping on Mercedes-Benz Wheels

If it weren’t for the still ongoing health crisis, the RV movement would have probably never taken off the way it did. In just two short years, going to sleep in the great outdoors with a wheeled vehicle as a home base moved from being a habi...

Harley-Davidson Night Rod on 360 Rear Wheel Is a Pure Mutant

Ah, custom motorcycles rear wheels… For some reason, someone somewhere decided at one time that there’s no better way to scream custom that to slap a significantly larger wheel than stock at the rear of the bike. Everyone else followed...

Harley-Davidson Black Lion Is a Wild Cat Out on Human Roads

Even in factory form, the Harley-Davidson V-Rods were impressive beasts. And it was only natural for them to be so, given how the line of muscle bikes was specifically created to take on the Japanese two-wheelers that were kings of the segment back...
