World’s Smallest Supercharged V8 Engine Enters Production

Model cars are a great way to have a constructive and educational hobby, which is also rewarding because you get to build various scale models of your favourite cars with your own hands - nothing beats that! For those who are really into models, the name Conely Precision Engines may be familiar, while for most people it most certainly is not.
However, you should remember the name, as the company builds the world’s smallest supercharged V8 engine - the Stinger 609. It only displaces about 100cc (6.09 cubic inches), yet it can rev to 10,000 rpm and has an output of 9 hp - which is a lot for an engine of this type. The rather impressive power figure is achieved using a supercharger, which does not add any real weight, as the entire engine only weighs 5.1 kg or 11.25 pounds.

Furthermore, it is specifically designed to run and sound exactly like an actual V8, and for those who are really into their models, it is definitely an important aspect. However, there is a downside to all this small-scale engineering: the price. It costs a lot of money, and as we’ve said, you have to be really passionate to shell out $7,000 for a scaled down V8.
