Back in the late 90s, Europe saw diesel engines grow more and more popular, with the introduction of common-rail injection helping oil burners move from commercial to passenger vehicles. Nowadays, something similar is starting to happen in the US, where automakers are pushing to introduce clean diesel technology.
The latest effort of this kind comes from Audi, which has released the adjacent video. The clip is aimed at explaining the benefits of clean diesel. It starts by explaining how today’s diesel fuel contains up to 97 percent less sulfur than old diesel fuels, making it certified in all 50 states.

Audi goes on by explaining how its own clean diesel tech improves emission reduction. The company mentions that it managed to cut diesel particulate emissions by 90 percent. At the end of the video, Audi shows those all-important driving range figures for its various models.
