Why Akio Toyoda Uses an Audi...
- Toyota's Akio Toyoda seen riding in an Audi
- He reportedly used the car in Davos
- Audi is the official fleet supplier for the Davos event
There, some journalist managed to get Toyoda in front of a camera, sticked a microphone into his face and asked him about possibly the biggest recall mankind has ever seen. Humble, or just lost, Toyoda only said the following:
"We're extremely sorry to have made customers uneasy. We plan to establish the facts and give an explanation that will remove customers' concerns as soon as possible." But we have to ask: so what if Toyoda used an Audi to move about in Davos? After all, Audi is the official vehicle supplier of the World Economic Forum and, as we told you in the end of January, it supplies no less than 190 vehicles for the event...
So, simply put, if Toyoda used an Audi as a means of transportation, he did so because he had to. Not because he doesn't trust his own cars anymore...
Yes, Toyota's recall is serious. But not that serious... Think about it: over six million cars recalled, yet about 800 related accidents reported so far. One would call this being overcautious, not panicking...

But, when your name its the same as the cars recalled and generating a huge crisis in your own company, you must use your own products, to show that you trust what you make. Its beyond my knowledge the losses in all terms Toyota is suffering and going to.
Sorry for my english. My best regards.
