Welcome Peugeot Metropolis 3-wheel Scooter
text size: A- A+
There's so much to the Metropolis 400i, as Peugeot stresses. First of all it marks the debut of a new era in scooter manufacturing, going for the 3 wheels and breaking the design barriers of traditional scooters. If you take a closer look, the Peugeot Metropolis 400i brings forth a nice resemblance with the new 508 sedan, and this spells style.
Far from being a toy, the Metropolis 400i has been created with serious commuter capabilities in mind. Given the 400 cc liquid-cooled engine's power reaching no less than 35 bhp, the owners will definitely be getting tons of fun riding it around the city.
The first prototypes date back to 2008 and in 2010 the French manufacturer made the first statements regarding mass production. It was clear that Peugeot could not have left the Metropolis 400i in the entry-level class, therefore premium features have been added, much to the potential customers' delight, and the dismay of the competition. The 400i boasts tyre pressure sensors, a smart keyless system, linked braking and even an electric parking brake.
An aluminium frame, triple-disc braking and adjustable seat complement the wonderful dashboard with easy-to-read analog dials and a large LCD display offering a lot of info. Now add in the adjustable wind-shield which will let even larger pilots “hide” behind it and there you go: one of the ultimate commuting solutions for those willing to leave their cars at home.
Pricing and detailed information are expected soon.
