2011 Piaggio MP3 Yourban Scooter Presented

Piaggio first introduced their three-wheel MP3 scooter in 2006, when few were those who gave the thumbs up to the unusual ride. However, the model managed to attract no less than 80,000 customers so far, which encouraged Piaggio to introduce further variations of the 125 and 300cc versions, both of which are fuel injected.

The revamped MP3 has been renamed, now sporting the Yourban designation, and comes with advanced technology, refreshed styling, and class-leading levels of trim and equipment.

The latest incarnation of the three-wheeled machine sports a two-tone paint scheme on the bodywork that highlights the aluminum-look paint of body panels. In addition, alloy wheels and a racing-inspired tail section with twin grad rails are also among the key features of the new Yourban.

Other features include an E-Power electronic antitheft system with electronic key and two button remote control, and a tall windshield in 4 mm thick, impact resistant metacrylate.

The instrument panel is comprised of three, easy to read, circular gauges, speedometer, water temperature and fuel level, with LCD displays for odometer, clock, voltage and external temperature. The panel also has an array of indicator lights for fuel reserve, high-beam, turn signals, oil pressure, hazard and injection system check. There is also a warning light for parking brake and roll lock.

Piaggio also makes available a range of dedicated helmets in colors coded with colours of vehicle. They come with external shell in ABS and removable cheek cushions to permit installation of Bluetooth system, adjustable long visor, inner padding in non-allergenic fabric and strap fastener system with fine adjustment.

The Piaggio MP3 Yourban is available in 5 brilliant metallic colors; Cosmo Black, Ibis Red, Orione Grey, Perla White, and Ghiaccio Grey.
