The fact that VW is dominating the WRC scene on the first try with the Polo R and a lot of help from Sébastien Ogier. That probably means absolutely nothing for the folks who drive Polos to and from work every day, but we still think those people need to see this video.
The Polo R WRC is a bit different from your average supermini. It's got 314 horsepower, a four-wheel drive system and a completely flat underbody. However, it's still amazing to see it flying through the air like shot out of a cannon.

The fight and flight moment took place at the famous Micky jump during Rally Italy. Ogier says you have to go really slow into the jump, otherwise the car can fly 10 meters into the air.

"Volkswagen put on a strong team performance in the seventh of 13 events in the WRC season, in front of Dr Ulrich Hackenberg, the member of the Board of Management for the Volkswagen brand who is responsible for development. “It was a great success for the whole of the team and being there to see it was a fantastic experience,” said Dr Hackenberg. “This was actually my last rally as the head of development at Volkswagen, but I will no doubt visit a few more rallies some time. I have put a lot of heart and soul into this project and that doesn’t simply evaporate when you move to pastures new.”

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
