Europe doesn't have Corvettes or Camaros and not every middle-aged man can afford a Porsche once the biological clock shows 45. So what's he to do, where is the fun car for the bloke who also has a family?
It's probably something a little bit like the Golf R, a cult car that has lots of thrills and not a lot of spills. It's always been a bit of a hooligan's car, but with the sixth generation of the Golf it ditched the famous V6 engine for a smaller 2-liter turbo.

This next video shot by Jorrie2 in Holland shows the difference that change makes when it comes to the all-important exhaust sound. The V6 is mechanical and pure, the turbo a whirling of power carefully controlled by two pipes. Which one do you guys prefer?

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
