Japanese automaker Toyota has revelead the GT 86 Cup Edition, a special version of the company's already popular rear-wheel-drive sportscar.
Limited to only 86 units, the Cup Edition was launched in order to celebrate the start of the Toyota GT 86 Cup, a one-make racing series contested in Europe, and, consequently, it won't be available on any other markets outside the old continent.
While its grey/red-striped livery makes it look like a Toyota GT 86 Cup racer, the Cup Edition is nothing more than an ordinary GT 86 vehicle in terms of performance, sporting the same 2.0-liter four-cylinder boxer engine which develops 200 HP.
However, for the extra €2,680 ($3,695), potential costumers will get more then GT 86 CS-V3-like decaled car, as the Cup Edition comes with OZ Racing 18-inch light alloy wheels, Pirelli Zero Nero GT tires. In the cabin, the Cup Edition GT 86 receives a sports steering wheel trimmed in Alcantara, red stitching, Cup Edition labeled dashboard and a brushed aluminum made numbered plaque.
In addition, owners will get two tickets to a VIP customer event at the famed Nurburgring track.
