After recently showing off their Auris hatchback, specifically designed to appeal to European buyers, Toyota has now released a series of pictures of the new Auris Touring Sports (estate), a more practical proposition for those for whom the regular car’s boot is not sufficiently roomy.
The estate maintains the hatchback’s 2.6 meter wheelbase, but rear overhang is increased by 285 mm, in order to provide the additional load space that estate buyers look for. It also features some rather huge rear lights, hinting at influences taken from some French estates from the same class (Peugeot 308 and Renault Megane, to be precise).
To complete the estate look, it also comes with aluminium roof rails, which are a must on any modern estate. No word on pricing, though, but expect it to be just slightly more expensive than the hatch, which starts at £14,495 ($24,300 / €18,895) in the UK.
