I’ll always have a soft spot for the 1M Coupe mainly because it’s a crazy little bundle of joy and BMW has always made this kind of cars. That’s what they’re good at and that’s what made them who they are today, respected throughout the industry.
The stock model is already incredible in terms of performance and fun but when you want even more adrenaline, it’s easy to get a few drops extra, like this owner did.
His car went from how BMW intended it to be to a custom job, one that would fit the driver’s taste perfectly. One of the first things he changed was the exhaust that is now wearing the Akrapovic logo the same as the downpipes, this small upgrade already bringing both a new sound and more power to the wheels.
Speaking of which, the stock ones weren’t cutting it anymore so a set of BBS FI were thrown in. Other visual changes include a new BMW Performance carbon fiber rear spoiler, iND painted cosmetic package, a new carbon fiber front lip and a Vorsteiner GTS-V carbon fiber rear diffuser.
On the technical side of things, the N54 biturbo engine now has an Evolution Racewerks diverter valve charge pipe while a new Forge Motorsport intercooler makes sure things are nice and cool. Altogether, the 3-liter inline 6-cylinder mill should be good for well over the 340 HP it used to make stock.
That’s what brought along the need for some extra stopping power. The guys from European Auto Source were more than willing to address it, by installing a Brembo GT Big Brake kit that has 380 mm rotors all around and we have to say, they look absolutely incredible!
