BMW’s 3-Series GT, a more high-riding variant of their most successful offering, is set to be launched next year, but before its official debut, it has been snapped up on the Nurburgring, lifting the inner-front wheel, around the famous Karussell turn.
It will be very similar to the regular 3-Series sedan in terms of design, while borrowing elements from the larger 5-Series GT, as well as its raised driving position and hatchback mechanism, which allows the user to open the hatch in two separate parts, a feature first seen on the Skoda Superb.
It will also share the exact same engine lineup as the sedan, as well as offering the option of xDrive all-wheel drive. Officials are confident that this car will make a bigger mark than the 5-Series GT, but since both cars are quite similar, and sales of the latter are struggling, their optimism is debatable.
