The 2015 Ford Mustang is still a mystery, with the Blue Oval refusing to confirm any of the rumored details, which include a new European-like design, a turbocharged four-cylinder engine and an independent rear suspension.
The new styling is probably the most bugging detail when it comes to the 2015 Mustang, after Ford has announced that the next-gen vehicle will lose its classic cues in order to attract new “audience”. And while we have yet to see photos of the actual car, but did stumble upon some nicely done renderings, a 2015 Mustang prototype was finally caught in full by our spy photographers.

Although the vehicle is wearing heavy camouflage all around, the narrow headlamps and the front grille that hint at an Evos concept-based styling can be noticed. What’s more important, the test mule seems to be smaller than the current fifth-generation Mustang, which should make it more suitable for the European imports that have been confirmed last year.

Codenamed S500, the 2015 Mustang will also arrive with the familiar 3.7-liter V6 and the 5.0-liter V8 Coyote under the hood, while the four-potter, which is destined for the European market, could be offered in the US as well.

Ford has yet to announce an official date, but we think it’s safe to assume that the 2015 Ford Mustang will be unveiled at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, while the European debut will be hosted by the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. Deliveries should commence in fourth quarter 2014.
