smart fortwo nightorange UK Pricing Announced

Launched back in January and making its world public debut at this year’s edition of the Geneva Auto Show in early March, the latest limited edition smart has now reached UK shores and is ready to be driven off by whoever wants to own a small, eye-catching vehicle.

The model in question is the smart fortwo nightorange edition, whose on-the-road prices start from £9,995. There will only be 235 units available on the British market, in both coupe and cabrio form. Both are available with a choice of a 71 bhp micro hybrid drive or 84 bhp turbo petrol engine.

For this money, customers will get a vivid orange paintwork, contrasting black three-double-spoke 15-inch alloy wheels, tridion safety cell, door mirror caps and radiator grille, accompanied by headlamps with titanium-coloured inserts and nightorange badging on the door mirror triangles.

Interior highlights include soft black nappa leather and fabric seats, orange stitching and sport stripes on the seats and dashboard. There is a black nappa leather finish to the three-spoke steering wheel and the gear knob for the softouch five-speed automatic transmission, while the dashboard, door trims, cockpit clock and rev counter are all in elegant matt black. Luxurious velour floor mats, featuring the nightorange logo, complete the package.

“The smart fortwo nightorange edition is a real head-turner and a car that will truly light up the lives of owners with its stunning on-road presence and low running costs,” Gary Savage, Managing Director, Mercedes-Benz Cars, said in a release. “Like the rest of the smart range, this latest special edition’s green credentials stand out too - the new model emitting less than 120g/km of CO2 so is exempt from the cost of the annual road fund licence for at least the first year from registration."
