Shelby Cobra Daytona Hits the Track at Spa-Francorchamps [Video]
text size: A- A+
Raced by Jo Schlesser and Andre Simon at the Nurburgring back in its glory days, the Cobra Daytona you’re about to see below was originally painted white with blue and red stripes. After competing in the national “Tri-Colore” of France, the vehicle was repainted in the famed Guardsman Blue by UK’s Alan Mann Racing.
What’s more, this exact version was owned by Carroll Shelby himself until 2000, when it was auctioned off for no less than $4.4 million, probably an American record at the time.
The video you’re about to see below was recorded at the Curbstone trackday at Spa-Francorchamps earlier this month and comes via YouTube user “yd222”. Scroll below for almost four minutes of awesome Cobra Daytona footage, you won’t regret it.
