The Aston Martin customer isn't your typical fellow. Just think about it for a moment: this person said no to Ferrari, the best name in the industry, and thinks that a raging bull made in Sant'Agata Bolognese is far too flashy for his taste in cars. Although modern Aston Martins are underpinned by the fourth-generation of the VH Platform that debuted with the 2001 Vanquish and the 6-liter V12 powerplant has humble origins from the Ford era, the British brand is enjoying higher demand than ever before.
It's easy to understand why some people love Aston Martin this much despite the drawbacks we have previously mentioned. Those looks, the V12 symphony, the timeless grand tourer layout, the badge, there's a lot to like about Aston Martin. We reviewed the 2014 Aston Martin Vanquish and we regard it as a mind-blowing effort from the brand, but actually owning one is undoubtedly better than driving the thing for a few days in sunny Monaco like we did with that glorious Vanquish.

But here's the thing: although current Astons are highly customizable, the automaker debuted at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show something called "Q by Aston Martin," basically a personalization service like no other. Even the Q in its name reminds us of the fictional character in the James Bond saga, the head of the Q Branch that presents 007 with cool spy gadgets and heavily modified vehicles. Yes, Mr. Bond drove some Lotuses and BMWs in the past, but his one true love remains the Aston Martin.

Fast-forward more than two years since the Q by Aston Martin personalization service debuted and now you can experience that wonderful world. The new microsite may be just an indulgent glimpse into the posh world of Q by Aston Martin, but hey, it's still a good way for us Ford Fiesta-driving mortals to satisfy our curiosity for bespoke personalization from one of the most iconic automakers out there.

The Q by Aston Martin web experience can be accessed at http://q.astonmartin.com.
