Porsche 911 Gets Chevy LS7 V8 Engine

Porsche has been spending the last 50 years trying to get the perfect balance for its rear-wheel drive 911, with the car becoming so good that it’s extremely difficult to notice that the engine is placed at the back.
Thus, when we heard that somebody in America decided to take a 911 and swapped its turbocharged flat six with a Chevrolet LS7 V8, we were more than curious to see the result.

The adjacent clip shows us the development and, even though it doesn’t show the car in motion, our brain just can’t cope with seeing a 911 and hearing the voice of an American V8 at the same time. Result? We get dizzy when we watch the clip.

Want to hear the good part? We don’t know how the engine swap affected the weight distribution, but the LS7 is lighter than the boxer it replaces.
