Italian car designer and coach builder Pininfarina has announced that it will debut a concept car as a tribute to its former Honorary Chairman, Sergio Pininfarina, at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show.
To honour the man who headed the company for 40 years, and passed away in July 2012, Pininfarina said it will attend the 2013 Geneva Motor Show with an innovative and exclusive concept car.

"To celebrate his talent and his work, Pininfarina will present as a world premiere in Geneva a concept car which renews the spirit of the extraordinary achievements born from Sergio Pininfarina's pencil, translating into a modern vision in the name of exclusivity, innovation and passion," announced the Italian-based company in a press release.

Given the fact that the concept car will tribute the man also known as the "King of Design", the unique vehicle to be unveiled in Switzerland "will be necessarily called Sergio", Pininfarina added.

The "Sergio" Concept, represented for now by the teaser pictured above, will be unveiled on March 5th.

The former Chairman of the Pininfarina Group is credited with designing cars such as Alfa Romeo Spider Duetto, Bentley Azure, Ferrari F40, Fiat 124 Sport Spider, Maserati Quattroporte or the Peugeot 504.
