Today BMW unveiled its most powerful and fastest car ever made, the 30th Anniversary Edition BMW M5 and we were stunned. It’s frozen, special and mean looking so everyone’s going to want one.
Unfortunately, since it’s a special edition, only 300 of them will ever be made. Furthermore, if you live in the US, the chances of getting one are even slimmer. That’s because only 30 units will make it across the pond, 1 of them being already reserved for BMW North America.

That leaves 29 units for the public. Now the panic really starts. How can you get one? Well, it’s a rather simple operation that will, however, give everyone a headache.

BMW decided to sell them just like it sold the previous Frozen limited-edition models they had on sale on the North American continent. Remember the Frozen E92 M3 models? Just like it was the case with them, you’ll be able to order this M5 by calling BMW NA.

The first 29 customers who reserve it by dialing the dedicated BMW Customer Relations hotline at 1:00 PM EDT (10:00 AM PDT), on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 will be the lucky ones. At the moment, the telephone number hasn’t even been revealed but the Germans promise that they’ll disclose it over Instagram (@BMWUSA), over the 5 days leading to May 21, starting Saturday, May 17. That’s a rather dumb idea, if you ask us but don’t worry, we’ll keep you posted.

The ones that actually do get to speak to a BMW sales person that day, and get to buy this car, should know that its price starts at $138,725, including the destination and handling tax. They should also know that they will be invited to a one-day M Driving School at The Thermal Club, a private motorsports facility in Palm Springs, California.
