Motorcycle Riders Risk to Die of Cancer
Randall Dale Chipkar who previously warned bikers about this risk had written a book which he named "Motorcycle Cancer?" to show the dangers of motorbike seats' low frequency electromagnetic field (ELF EMF) radiation.
The author claims he found 500 milliGauss of ELF EMF radiation above motorcycle seats and doctors say anyone who is exposed to 3 to 5 milliGauss of ELF EMF risks to develop cancer.
"I was shocked to discover this radiation risk for motorcyclists. Initially proof of danger was a major challenge, however, today both my book and website provide evidence and facts that cannot be ignored. It's not just about cancer. The prostate, colon and neighboring organs are of concern along with radiation readings that reach the abdomen, heart and breast area," Chipkar confesses.
With this book, Chipkar wants to warn motorcycle police officers as well about the risks of the riding duration and he hopes that motorcycle police associations across the world "will initiate this essential epidemiology."
More importantly, "major organizations now agree non-ionizing, non-thermal ELF EMF magnetic fields are possibly carcinogenic. Doctors advise prudent avoidance from various exposures. Nobody wants cancer controversial radiation flooding their body especially pregnant or cancer survivor motorcyclists. Together we can make a difference," Chipkar added.
Besides the book, Chipkar is currently conducting a worldwide campaign to convince the moto industry to increase the safety of bikers. He has already initiated a web site where he provides motorbike riders with the ultimate information about motorcycle cancer and other forms of the malady.
Certainly, people take risks each second of their lives. Smokers are always warned about the risks of tobacco and still, many of them don't give up smoking. Therefore, we highly doubt Mr Chipkar's book and campaign will benefit from success among bikers across the world.
