Many speculated that Maserati would be showing a brand new sportscar at the Paris Motor Show. This was expected to be a mid-engined machine based on the Alfa Romeo 4C and powered by some sort of super-powered V6 engine.
A sportscar is indeed what’s coming to the Paris Motor Show, but it’s not as exciting or as new as was expected. Still, we can’t say we’re disappointed with what’s coming out, a thoroughbred with an open top and racing genes.
It’s the GranCabrio MC Stradale, a convertible built on the coupe version of the car with a similar name. These photos were taken by Maserati of the official car, but in fact they are leaked as the full reveal has yet to take place.
Still, we can expect the convertible MC Stadale to offer a 4.7-liter V8 with the same 450 PS and 510 Nm (376 lb-ft) of torque the GranTurismo MC Stadale.
This hardcore convertible has a different bumper, stiffer suspension, lighter wheels, the MC Race Shift electro-actuated transmission and a tuned exhaust.
