Jaguar is making efforts to bring the upcoming F-Type sports car to the public’s attention even before this is launched and the company’s latest move sees it teaming up with American singer Lana Del Rey in order to promote the car.
Jaguar sees the F-Type and Lana Del Ray as emitting the same vibe, which is why she was chosen to be the image of the vehicle. The Jaguar F-Type is scheduled to make its debut late next month at this year’s edition the Paris Motor Show, which is when we’ll probably also get more of its connection with the singer.

That was just the start, considering the next year she was already sealing a deal with Interscope, Polydor, and Stranger Records.
As you may well know, her second studio album Born to Die debuted at number two on the U.S. Billboard 200 and is already doing quite well. In fact, we wouldn’t be surprised if it came out in the top 5 best-selling albums this year. For an artist that describes herself as the “gangsta Nancy Sinatra,” she surely went a long way in quite a short time.
But it’s not just the 1960s music that inspired her. There’s a long list of artists that includes Elvis Presley, Amy Winehouse, Nina Simone, Bille Holiday, Janis Joplin, Nirvana, Eminem, Bruce Springsteen and Britney Spears. As to her collaboration with the automotive industry we guess time will tell.
