Lamborghini is testing a Huracan prototype in winter conditions, and we have fresh spyshots to show it.
The pre-production prototype based on the Huracan is expected to become the next SV or Superleggera version of the car. The Italian supercar is expected to be fitted with an improved V10 engine, still in naturally aspirated form, that should deliver more than the standard 610 HP.

The prototype of the Huracan Superleggera being tested features almost no camouflage, but the Italians did fit two metal ornaments on the oval exhaust tip of this model.

The car in the photo gallery also features a set of auxiliary lights to help engineers attain better visibility in the poorly lit roads where this model is being tested.

Instead of too much aesthetic changes, the Superleggera version of the Huracan is set to receive a lot of mechanical improvements. Like all SV or Superleggera models from Lamborghini, the car’s performance will be enhanced both by improving the powertrain and by removing some weight.

The Italian carmaker probably used more carbon fiber parts, along with improved alloys for the essential components of the vehicle. Another potential production vehicle that could be hiding underneath the shell of this prototype is the Squadra Corse version of the Huracan.

This move might make more sense, since Lamborghini usually waits a while until it launches an SV or Superleggera version of one of its models.

Since the Huracan already received a rear-wheel-drive version, this possibility is already excluded. The Italian engineers reduced the power level of the V10 unit for the rear-wheel-drive version of the Huracan and explained why they did it, so there’s no way they are testing and building a more potent version.

We admire the fact that the company does not even bother with camouflage or hiding its badges when testing such models. After all, the look of the Huracan is easy to recognize, and it is pretty clear to all parties interested that any prototype they would hide under camouflage would still be a Lamborghini.
