We've all seen extreme Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8s (or SRTs, for that matter) that had been taken down the forced induction route and are now putting on a show at the drag strip. Nevertheless, the SRT8 we want to discuss today has stuck to its naturally aspirated roots.
Despite this, the Jeep has managed to claim the All Motor SRT Jeep world record, so don't expect this all-wheel-drive machine to be anything less than a beast. To be more precise, this Jeep can pull 10.5s quarter mile runs at over 125 mph.

The time has come to take you into the belly of the beast, where we find a 6.1 HEMI that has received a 426 stroker kit. The 7-liter V8 has also had its compression ratio increased, while receiving a ton of supporting mods.

To cope with the extra muscle, the SRT8 now uses a Southern Hot Rod Nag1 tranny, axles that can take up to 1,000 hp, a high torque rating transfer case, as well as front and rear limited slip diffs, while keeping its stock 3.73 final drive. A set of drag radials was mandatory.

As you can expect, such octane behemoths get to visit the dyno before being unleashed at the drag strip and this Jeep hasn't disappointed. Using race gas, the SRT8 delivered 600 hp and 560 lb-ft of twist at the wheels. If we are to talk crank hp, the value offered by carmakers, this SRT8 probably delivers north of 700 ponies. You know, the kind of power you expect from a Lamborghini Aventador. For the record (no pun intended), some of the world's fastest Grand Cherokee SRT8s can pull 8s quarter mile stunts.

Despite maintaining its atmospheric nature and its AWD, the Jeep we have here isn't afraid to pull respectable wheelies, as you'll be able to notice in the piece of footage below.
