How to Build a Yamaha R1 in 5 Hours [Video]
Here's a nifty timelapse video posted by Yamaha Motor USA, showing the Graves technicians literally building a bike from the frame up in under 5 hours. Starting with the frame and swingarm, the bike is quickly being assembled with clockwork precision.
In fact the success of a race may at times, depend on how swift these amazing guys are, especially when they have to return a bike wrecked in practice to full running condition in a very short time. Often overlooked, technicians are a very important part of the big racing mechanism. In the end, riders darting ahead with speeds exceeding 250 km/h (155 mph) are trusting their success and lives in the hands of the mechanics, aren't they?
