The Ford Mondeo has now reached its 20th anniversary and we’d like to ask you to stop for a few moments and celebrate the German model.
The good side of the Mondeo is that it;’s safe to say this is one of the most trustful work horses the auto world has recently seen. If practicality is what you’re on about, this car has it all. Nevertheless, the Mondeo never quite managed to shine, so if you have one, you’ll notice there’s no special feel to it.

However, the Mondeo remains an important player in the European medium segment. In addition, the current, fifth-generation Mondeo has become a global model under the Ford One strategy. Thus, Americans drive it too, as it’s closely related to the Ford Fusion. Since we mentioned the car's generation, we have to explain that there are, in fact, three major ones.

In fact, the Mondeo was always a global car - the first model, which appeared in 1992, replaced the Siera in Europe and the Ford Teslar in Asia, while its US counterpart, the Ford Contour, took over from the Ford Tempo.

The image above shows us the vehicle’s best effort, which comes in the from of the Mondeo Vignale Concept. This was introduced at the Frankfurt Motorshow earlier this month and aims to offer a premium, customizable take on the car.
