Hero Motocorp unveils their newest sportsbike, the HX250R, a 250cc machine which is expected to hit the dealerships in September.
Definitely one of the bikes which received the Erik Buell Racing touch, the Hero HX250R has an up-to-date design, with a slender bodywork and aggressive styling. The underseat exhaust looks extremely good, and is a very bold statement.

The 249cc single delivers 31 hp and 26 Nm (19.1 lb-ft) of torque, which seems to be more than enough for quite a thrilling tide, with top speeds in excess of 150 km/h (93 mph).

31 horsepower may not seem too much, but some simple math involving the bike's weight will make you change your mind. The Hero HX250R tips the scales at only 139 kg (under 307 lbs) so it's going to be a swift ride!

A constant mesh 6-speed transmission with a multi-plate wet clutch is standard, with a 300mm front rotor and a 220 one. ABS will be optional. In India it will retail for $2,080 (€1,530), but something tells us we'll soon see it in North America, too.
