It’s a known fact that BMW is interested in providing cars specifically designed for emergency situations to the proper authorities. The German company has been designing such creations for quite some time now, and they will be showcasing their latest at this year’s Interschutz event.
Growing from an exhibition aimed exclusively at fire services into the world’s leading trade fair, Interschutz 2015 will take place in Hanover from 8th to 13th of June this year. BMW will be present with its line-up of emergency cars at the event, showcasing the best they have to offer in the field.

Four vehicles will represent Munich in Hanover, a BMW i3 transformed into a fire command vehicle, a fire version of the BMW X3 xDrive20d, a BMW R 1200 RT Firexpress emergency motorcycle and a BMW F 800 GS that was also transformed.

For the i3, this will mark the first time a car part of the i sub-brand of BMW will be transformed into an emergency vehicle, thus making it a world premiere.

The show will be welcoming around 1,400 companies from 49 countries and will showcase the latest in the field within the walls of six exhibition halls and even open air in Hanover.

BMW also takes pride in the fact that its vehicles are not only efficient and perfectly transformed to serve their new purpose but also that they are eco-friendly. The i3, for example, is a pure electric model while the X3 has a new-age 2-liter 4-cylinder engine under the bonnet making 190 HP and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque that is EU6 compliant. If you’re a fan of emergency vehicles, this is one show you shouldn’t overlook.
