Facelifted Hyundai i10 Introduced

It seems that Hyundai is keen to offer us a preview for the vehicles that will debut at the upcoming Paris Auto Show.

In addition to releasing a set of images that reveal the new ix20 compact MPV, the South Korean automotive producer is offering us an image of the facelifted i10 model.

The designers have chosen the ix35 model as a source of inspiration, so the vehicle borrows design features from the crossover. The headlights now use a fresh design, while the grille comes with a hexagonal shape.

The facelift has also brought changes under the bonnet of the car. The vehicle has received a new 1.0 liter three-cylinder powerplant that delivers 68hp and comes with CO2 emissions that fall under the 100 grams per km level. Hyundai claims that the customers who choose this engine for the ix10 will get the cheapest under-100g/km model on the market. The refreshed version has ditched the 1.1 petrol unit of its predecessor, allowing customers to opt for a 1.2 liter petrol unit that produces 86 hp.

The revamp is not only limited to the tech and exterior areas, as it also brings a few changes for the interior of the car. However, these are limited and will not offer a new image.

autoevolution will be attending the 2010 Paris Auto Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
