Now that the facelift version of the BMW F30 3 Series is out in the open, it was about time that Alpina also showed us their take on the revised model. Therefore, without further ado, here are the new Alpina D3 Biturbo models in their full glory.
Since the tuner/manufacturer has been doing the same thing for years now, there’s little to surprise us here. Just like the BMWs they are based on, both the Sedan and Touring versions are now coming out with small changes in key areas.

Unlike what the Munich-based manufacturer has on offer, the D3 Biturbo is available with only one engine that, coincidentally, is exactly the same as before.

We’re talking about an improved version of the N57 mill found on the standard 335d models that was upgraded to deliver outstanding performance. If, in standard guise, the 3-liter inline 6-cylinder biturbo engine used to make 313 HP, the Alpina alternative puts down 350 HP and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque.

This was possible due to a new air intake, more boost in the two turbochargers as well as an increase in injection pressure. The full amount of torque is available from as low as 1,500 RPM and goes up to 3,000 RPM while the 350 HP come in at 4,000 RPM.

Of course, the cooling system was adapted to the new characteristics and includes a large volume intercooler with optimized intake and outlet ports as well as two radiators sitting in front of the wheel arches for better air flow.

The biggest changes are visual though

As it is the case on the 3 Series, on the new Alpina D3 Biturbo you’ll notice the new headlamps with a new design, available with optional LED lights as well as the new front bumper that features fresh aerodynamic add-ons that make your car stand out.

Round the back, there are new LED stop lights included as well, with their distinctive shape. To top everything off, the traditional turbine-style wheels are also part of the package, some of the best designs you can get for your BMW at the moment, hands down.

Inside, you’ll be greeted by the same high-quality materials as ever as well as the trademark Alpina instrument cluster that replaces the dull black background of BMW’s dash with their own blue one. Standard equipment includes the adaptive sport suspension, automatic air conditioning, Alpina door sill finishers, stainless steel tailpipes from Akrapovic, performance brakes, 19” lightweight alloys as well as a Radio Professional and Park Distance Control.
