With all the shake, rattle and troll going around the 2015 Dodge Challenger, especially the Hellcat, it’s easy to forget just how cool the now-older models still are. Just to make sure this doesn’t happen, we’ve brought along a pretty spicy reminder for you.
We are talking about a Challenger police car, a motorized animal that, not necessarily in a surprising manner, roams the roads of Alvin, Texas. This isn’t by any means a new acquisition, but we were talking old thing here, remember?

The Challenger was acquired by the Alving Police Department in 2013, along with two motorcycles. The aim here was “calming traffic in an effort to reduce the number of motor vehicle crashes.”

We can probably bet on that, since, for example, the Challengertalk forum has a thread called “Do you feel your Challenger is a cop magnet?”

Anyway, the local authorities were probably pretty determined to achieve their goal, since they fitted the muscle car with about 1 million lights. Heck, there’s even a faux hood scoop that sports police lights.

This, of course, isn’t the first of the new-age Challengers to serve the police. In fact, it isn’t even the first Challenger police car in Texas. Back in 2009, a delaer in the state went as far as gifting a Challenger with aftermarket parts and marketing it as a patrol car. We preffered the look of that model, so we’re showing you a photo of it below.
