Are you that type of person who wants to sit in the top front seat on a double decker bus? Or are very curious to see what the subway train driver sees all day? Then you might also enjoy flying in a plane besides the captain.
Unfortunately there are only about two ways of doing that - be the copilot or fly with one of your pilot friends in a small Cessna. Or hope this concept airplane becomes real and you get to fly in it.

What you’re looking here at is called the Micronautix Triton and it should put every passenger on the front seats at the same time. The design is not all that new, but packaging is what makes it really special.

If you look at the Triton up from a distance you might say it’s one of those old Lockheed P-38 Lightning fighter bombers. Still, the model here ditches the side motors for only one, mounted at the back of the center nacelle, leaving the twin-booms available for passenger use. There are actually two tandem seats in each side pod.

Wingspan is set at 42 feet (12.8 m) and power comes from a 450 hp Rolls Royce engine, although a hybrid-electric version is also included in the project for more comfort and reduced fuel consumption.

It’s looking good on the paper, now let's hope someone has the estimated $60 million needed to bring the Triton into reality.
