While in the middle of what could became the greatest fixing scandal in the history of Formula One, Flavio Briatore received a great news on a personal level. According to Italian weekly gossip magazine Chi, the Italian's wife Elisabetta Gregoraci is pregnant.

Apparently, the couple found out the good news while vacationing in Sardinia, last month. The former Wonderbra model married Flavio Briatore in June of last year. However, her soon-to-be-born child will not be Briatore's first, as the Renault boss is also the father of Heidi Klum's daughter Helene.

However, as confirmed by the German supermodel in the media plenty of times in the past, the 59-year old Italian is in no way involved in Helene's life. Klum and Briatore were never married, as their relationship broke up in 2003, shortly after Klum announced her pregnancy.

From the sporting standpoint however, Briatore may face some serious penalties following the over-discussed crash-gate. Charged by the International Automobile Federation (FIA) with trying to fix the results of the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix, Renault are facing – if guilty – expulsion from the sport.

At the same time, the people thought to be in the center of the scandal – Briatore and team's engineering director Pat Symonds – are also risking their F1 careers in case the FIA proves Renault's wrongdoings. Both are expected to appear before the World Motor Sport Council (WMSC) on September 21st to explain their actions during the aforementioned event.
