Now that BMW has gone all-turbo with the new 3-Series, it’s become easier for tuners to release engine modification package and we are here to talk about the latest development of this kind, which comes from AC Schnitzer.
The German tuner will use the upcoming Geneva Motor Show to release its version of the F30 3er. This uses the 328i as a starting point, with the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-pot being boosted from 240 hp and 350 Nm (258.1 lb-ft) to 291 hp and 410 Nm (302 lb-ft). This was possible by installing a sports exhaust system and a new ECU map.
Thus, the 0 to 62 mph sprint time is reduced from 5.9 to 5.7 seconds, but the top speed stays the same (the electronically-limited 155 mph or 250 km/h).
AC Schnitzer also offers a sport suspension, as well as new lightweight alloy rims, which come in sized ranging from 18 to 20 inches. The package also contains various exterior and interior goodies, all of which come with a discreet design. AC Schnitzer will bring the kit to the market this summer.
