BMW brought a lot of cars at this year’s Paris Motor Show. Amongst them the Motosport division’s latest creations including a Sakhir Orange BMW M4 and the limited-edition 30 Jahre M5, the most powerful car they ever made.
As you guessed, we had to take a photo of the dynamic duo and get all the 1,031 M horses in one shot. This is basically the epitome of M engineering at the moment.

The new M4 was launched this year and it’s featuring the newest engine the Motorsport division worked on, the S55. Developed as an upgraded N55 unit, the 3-liter twin-turbo inline 6-cylinder mill makes 431 HP and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque, a lot more than what that engine usually makes.

However, it is a standalone unit that has new pistons, new ceramic coated cylinders a new crankcase and many, many other improvements on it. Rumor has it that the engine is actually making around 500 horses at the crank and that the 431 number is the amount that reaches the rear wheels.

On the other hand, we have the fastest and most powerful car BMW ever made: the BMW 30 Jahre M5 edition. Created to celebrate 3 decades of the M5, this thing is an absolute monster.

The S63Tu 4.4-liter V8 twinturbo engine under the bonnet makes 600 HP and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque thanks to a new intercooler, new turbos and a new ECU map.

Created in just 300 units worldwide, the car is fitted with everything you can get on an M5, including the Competition Package as you can tell by the wheels it’s wearing. It will only be made wearing the Frozen Silver paint however and numbered plates inside the cabin, reminding you that this is a limited-run car.

The near 2-ton car will do 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.9 seconds and go up to a limited top speed of 305 km/h (189 mph) with the M Driver’s Package. That’s supercar territory for a four-seater mid-size sedan!
