Priced at $35,455 for the rear-wheel drive 6’4” box model, the 2015 Ram 1500 Sport is both good value for money and an enticing truck to look at. But if you’re prepared to pay just $1,595 over that sticker, you’ll get a limited-edition Ignition Orange Sport or Black Sport.
As Ram Trucks describes these two limited runs of workhorses, we’re dealing with 1,000 units for each group slated for production next month. It’s not that surprising that the ordering books have been already opened, but what do you exactly get in addition to the extensively equipped 2015 Ram 1500 Sport except for added exclusivity?

Configurable in 4x2 and 4x4 format, the special edition light-duty pickup trucks feature either a bright orange exterior finish or a more sinister blacked-out paint job. The Ram 1500 Ignition Orange Sport also boasts a Mopar-designed hood decal, joined by orange stitching inside.

Sport mesh on the seat insert, special badging and 20-inch wheels round off the package nicely. On the other hand, the 2015 model year Ram 1500 Black Sport features the same 20-inch rollers but finished in matte black.

The black-is-the-new-black persona of this truck is further enhanced by black chrome accents and a cabin embellished by the blackest leather imaginable. Frankly, this limited-edition Sport truck is so much better styled than the pig-faced Ram Laramie Limited.

As any other 2015 Ram 1500 Sport, the Ignition Orange Sport and Black Sport trucks are offered with a single powertrain option: a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 that channels 395 HP to the wheels via a Torqueflite lazy boy box that’s got eight ratios.
